'I have intense cravings' : Pregnant Woman Feels Zero Remorse for Forcing Husband to Leave Family Function and Drive 30 Minutes to Get Her a Slushy

Any woman who's either given birth or has taken hormonal birth control knows that hormones are no joke. Think of it as an emotional rollercoaster where every single nerve is heightened to the max. On the one hand, it's nice because when you're happy you feel 10 times happier. But on the other, when you're sad, welp, let's just say that the hormones will take it to a whole other level. 

And don't even get us started on the sensitivity. Pregnancy hormones will make any comment feel like a personal attack and declaration of war. But in our humble opinions, the worst part about it all is the cravings. Pregnancy hormones have the ability to unleash an appetite that craves the oddest combinations known to man. Pickles and ice cream, Nutella and mustard, and so. much. more. 

Welp, today we're bringing you a story about a pregnant wife who claims to have had a major craving for a slushy. So much so that she forced her husband to leave a family gathering and drive 30 minutes one way to get it. Now the question lies… was it fair of her to make such a demand? Or was she just milking the pregnancy card?

    Font - I 29 female am pregnant with my boyfriend Sam 32. Sam and I went to a party for his family. No momentous occasional just a normal family get together. During my pregnancy I have had intense cravings.

    Font - While we were at the party I told Sam I was craving a slushee. About 30 minutes away. We had just arrived about 20 minutes prior. He said to give him a little while and we'd go get one.

    Font - After about 30 more minutes I said it again to Sam. He said fine get in the car. On our way there we got into an argument and he thinks the craving could have waited a couple hours. He's now mad at me we have to leave the party early. We see his family 2-3 times a month sometimes more and I don't think it's a big deal to leave when I have a craving.

    She had us up until this point. Cmon, ma'am. We get it, the hormones are crazy. But at least be a little grateful and apologetic that he came.

    Font - cuentaderana 15 hr. ago Asshole Aficionado [10] I don't understand why some people are so intense about their pregnancy cravings. I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant. Sure I've had cravings where something sounded good/nice. Never have I ever absolutely needed to have it. Most of the time I ignore my cravings, in fact, because a cupcake/burger/mashed potatoes with pickles and mustard are not exactly health food.

    Font - The only time pregnancy cravings should always be indulged are if they coincide with extreme nausea/food aversions (I had some days in the first trimester where the only food I could keep down was an impossible whopper...and I don't even like burgers, never ate them before getting pregnant). And even then, you get them at an appropriate mealtime/when it's convenient, you never need to get them immediately. ↑ 8.5k Reply Share

    Font - (which your still entirely aware is just your hormones in your conscious is funny and not life or death). That being said... yeah it 100% can wait or she could've gone alone that was a bit rude to make them go too... pregnancy is hard but a slushee is definitely not a must have in that moment lol.
